Below are some answers to some of the questions you might have about virtual assistants.  Don't worry if you can't see the answer to your question, you can contact me here:

What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant is a self-employed admin specialist. They are usually multi-skilled and come from a strong administrative working background.

How does it work?

You only pay for the hours worked - so no paying for breaks or chats around the water cooler!  Usually a virtual assistant works by the hour and uses time recording methods for keeping track of time worked.  Other methods of work are retainer and set project rates.  These are normally paid in advance of work starting.

Where will you be located?

A virtual assistant mainly works remotely.

What systems & equipment do you have in place?

I use Microsoft or Google Workplace.  For sharing of files and collaboration, I use OneDrive, DropBox, GoogleDrive and Trello.  For video conferencing, I use Google. WhatsApp for Busness, Teams and Zoom.  I have printing, scanning and binding facilities.

What are the benefits of using a VA compared to an employee?

Because a Virtual Assistant is self-employed, they are responsible for paying all costs relating to employment, such as PAYE/NI.  You will also not have to pay for benefits such as holiday/absence and pension payments. They also do not require office space or work equipment.  Virtual Assistants will have their own insurance and liability cover.

I only need a few hours assistance here & there, do you provide such a service?

Absolutely, Yes.

There are flexible payment plans available, even a PAYG option which is perfect for adhoc work.

How do you take payment?

Payments are made via BACS

What about personal data?

Once onboarded, you will be sent an onboarding form where you will be required to provide basic information about yourself and your business.  If you require me to book travel or online purchases, in order to provide a seamless efficient service, relevant personal data will be requested.  Data will be stored securely in a password encrypted file for these purposes only.

Can anyone benefit from using a Virtual Assistant?

Absolutely, Yes.

I offer a bespoke admin support service so if you need assistance with something that is not listed in my service, still get in touch.  Admin is a bucket for many back office tasks and the list can just go on and on.

How does pricing
& payments work?

This is dependent of which plan you have chosen.

For PAYG plan, 2 hours are paid upfront for the first time and the billed at the end of each week worked.

Monthly and custom plans are paid in advance to guarantee my time to  your requirements.

Can a virtual assistant manage my calendar & inbox?

Absolutely, Yes.

I can arrange meetings and manage your calendar with ease.  Simply share and grant the permission.  This can be made even easier by using web-based email accounts such as / Gmail.

I'm not sure this will improve my overheads

No business likes to spend money on overheads but consider how much time you are currently spending on administration and how much value you could add by focusing on the bigger picture in your business.

A virtual assistant is an investment, someone who is on your side giving you support while you focus on forward-looking work.
